United we stand.

Welcome to Edsel.com

It's all about the car.

Edsel.com and The Edsel Pages are designed to help new Edsel owners find parts and advice, current Edsel owners to show their cars, and future Edsel owners to find out just what they're getting into.   It's all about keeping as many Edsel automobiles on the road as possible. No other agenda, no politics.
It's all about the car.

Edsel Registry The Edsel Registry

The on-line Edsel Registry gives you a spot on the web where you can tell the world about your car, ranging from how many awards that it's won to how much the salvage yard gave you for it.  Any Edsel in any condition - if it's got an Edsel patent plate, people want to know about it.

Latest Edsel News and Edsel Page Updates

June 2009
As the Edsel gets older and parts become more difficult to find, some owners are taking on the task of reproducing components, which benefits the whole Edsel community.  Ron Rath, Jr. is in contact with a 1959 Edsel fuel tank fabricator to manufacture replacement tanks (they're different from the '59 Ford).  He's looking to find out how much demand there would be - the more interest, the better chance that the shop will accept the work (and as the orders go up, the price goes down.)  Please contact Ron at 610-323-5817 or email tinarath@comcast.net if interested.
Also, available for delivery now is the 1958 Edsel licence plate bracket from Henry Klinger Edsel Products.  These are exact duplicates using the same gauge steel as on the original Edsel front bracket.  US$25.00 plus shipping.  Contact Henry at 717-453-7244 or email hedsel44@frontiernet.net/
If you have reproduced Edsel parts, or are in the planning stages and need help getting the word out, please contact Edsel.com.

May 2009
Edsel.com is pleased to announce its acquisition of the web's premier Edsel promotional model site.  Starting this month, Bruce Roberts' Edsel Promo Time will be hosted under the Edsel.com domain.  You may recall that the original site's files were dropped last year when Time/Warner Cable restructured.  Their new pages allowed only limited formats, and featured pop-up ads and banners.  Garaged here, the Edsel Promo site is back to its original glory with Bruce still at the controls.  The pages include photos and history of Edsel promotional models for all three model years, and is a most welcomed addition.

April 2009
The Petersen Auto Museum on Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles has opened its latest exhibit, "WHAT WERE THEY THINKING? The Misfits of Motordom", which runs through September 20.  Described as "automobile oddities from around the globe, and certainly the only assembly of vehicles where an Edsel is the "normal" car".  (The Edsel gets so few compliments, even a backhanded one such as this is most welcomed.)  The museum is also offering a panel discussion this month from auto industry experts.  Visit their website for full details.

Also, please be aware of scammers when posting online Edsel ads.  I've posted my own ads here when selling and searching for parts, and have noticed an increase in fake "buyers" who's email messages are suspiciously vague (because they're mass-mailed to anyone posting online).  Maybe it's the economy that's ramping up the attacks, but please take extra caution when responding to email requests.

March 2009
The Edsel.com Gallery's "Dealership Items" page was increased this month thanks to Mike Brogan, who sent in photos of his Circle "E" Ranch and the Edsel signs and dealership items housed within.  You, too, are encouraged to send along your photos of rare dealership signs, banners or other Edsel sales memorabilia for the site.  Contact admin@edsel.com today!

The Resurrected Edsels page was also reorganized to clear out the no-longer-active blogs, and to add photos of Dan King's beautiful Citation recovery.

It's just about time to get those batteries charged and oil changed... Edsel Season 2009 is quickly approaching!
