Year: 1959	"I have a 1959 Edsel 4 door Ranger for sale in Corvallis, Oregon.  Corvallis is just over an hour south of Portland and 45 minutes north of Eugene.  I have owned it for 24 years.  Reason for selling is that I would like more space in the garage and don't use the car often enough to justify keeping it around. This is a complete, solid, running car.  100k miles.  Sky blue body and white top. All original, unrestored condition.  Straight six motor and two speed automatic.  Great tires.  Some dings and rust on rocker panels but still turns heads.  I have extra hubcaps for it.  Chrome is in good shape.  Original glass, no cracks.  Headliner good, rugs could use replacement.  Original cover in back seat with some tears.  Front seat has been recovered in blue vinyl and is fine.  All the doors and windows and locks work.  All the gears work, the transmission was rebuilt not many miles ago.  The front end was also rebuilt and realigned not many miles ago.  The brakes pads are fine I have kept an eye on them and replaced pads over the years, as well as replacing some brake lines.  The rotors were turned not many miles ago.  The only things that don't work are the clock (it didn't keep correct time so I unhooked it), speedometer (just the cable I think), and the heater had a leak so right now the heater hoses just recirculate to the engine.  The car has been very reliable for me but very infrequently used and never a primary vehicle.  Has been garaged most of its life and in southern Arizona half of the 24 years I owned it.  Frequent oil changes and so far as I know the engine is 100% original. I would classify this as a "class 4" car using Edsel.com's Price Guide. It is a great driver but would need some work if you want to make it into a show car." Year: 1958	This car is an amazing barn find from the famous LeMay Collection in Tacoma, WA.  The car was last registered in 1971 and has been kept in one of the storage sheds where Harold LeMay kept his many cars. The car is in very restorable condition, with straight panels, very little rust or rot and a nice two-tone interior.  The car was repainted in the early 1970's and the Chalk Pink, Charcoal Brown and Frost White three-tone paint is in quite good condition.  The interior is pink vinyl and brown cloth and also in very restorable condition. Currently, the transmission will not go into Neutral or Park, but Drive and Reverse seem to work fine.  The brake system seems to work fine, but should be inspected before the car is driven far.  We spent some time getting the engine to start with new filters, plugs, wires, distributor cap, carburetor, hoses, battery, etc.  It purrs like a kitten... check out the video.  The power steering also works fine and the car drives under its own power. Additionally, the car needs some interior work due to mild surface rust and corrosion on metal parts, and the carpets need replacing.  The seating surfaces are very good along with the headliner.  The dash covering is sagging, as are the sun visors.  The engine bay also needs some attention, with mild surface rust on the valve covers, manifolds, brake master cylinder and booster, along with various other engine bay components.  The ignition switch seems to only turn on the ignition, but not activate the starter, so it also needs some attention. Overall, this car is in quite serviceable condition, but does need some attention before it could be considered road-worthy.  It is a great candidate for a mild-to-full restoration, or could be made into a very custom rod! Year: 1958	Condition: Body is near perfect.  The chrome is all there, in good condition.  Glass is all there and perfect.  Engine is the E400; has been rebuilt with many new parts, including 4 barrel Edelbrock carburetor, chrome Edelbrock air cleaner, new hose and fuel lines, new custom fit Taylor spark plug wires, brand new dual Flowmasters, and more.  Runs good.  Transmission has a small leak, but shifts good. Interior: Seats have been re-upholstered and floor has been re-carpeted.  Still has original headliner, in good condition with no tears.  Replaced hubcaps with baby moons, but still have originals.  Removed air conditioner (did not work), but still have it.  Has been mostly restored, but still needs some minor things.  It's missing the temperature gauge, original front hood ornament and outside mirrors.  Also, windshield wiper motors is not working. Year: 1959	This is a 99% rust free original complete Arizona car.  There is one small hole in the right-hand rocker that is not visable unless you crawl under, and there is also some blistering of the paint on the passenger side door that might be rust forming underneath, but the spot is no bigger than a quarter.  The car has been repainted at some point and is faded on the upper surfaces.  The interior was redone and it does not appear that original patterns or fabrics were used, but it looks very good.  Headliner is original and in perfect condition.  The only thing this car really needs bodywise is new rubber gaskets on all the glass, doors and trunk.  The passenger side front window is cracked but all the rest of the glass is good.  The odometer reads 102000.  Engine runs very well, and uses no oil.  Transmission shifts OK, too.  I had new dual exhaust pipes custom bent as well.  The previous owner replaced the carb with an aftermarket Holley 4bbl.  He also changed the wipers to electric and replaced the Treadle-Vac unit with a manual master cylinder.  I think he still has the original booster and cylinder but it needs rebuilding.  The car stops OK as is so I left it alone.  This is an excellent driver as is or a prime candidate for a complete restoration if that's what you want.  Every piece of trim and script is there.  I have no winter storage for it so it has to go. Year: 1959	1959 Ranger 2-door hardtop Over $6000 invested and more than 700 hours labor.  It has sat so long that most will need to be redone.  It has a new engine with 10 minutes run time, rebuilt tranny, paint, brake and tires.  Needed to do the interior and wiring.  Some glass broke in the years since.  It was an original 292 vehicle - the 352 that was in it was rebuilt to a 361. 1959 Ranger 2-door sedan Purchased for the 292.  3-speed, some parts missing. 1959 Villager 9-passenger wagon. Condition is rough but a rare one at that.  It has a 332 and an auto. Some 59 Corsair parts for the wagon are also in the mix. Year: 1959	2 Black 1959 Corsair 2-door hardtops, $2500 for the pair Car 1: VIN W9UW730775 is mostly complete other than the bumpers are off of it.  I do have them.  It has had the quarters replaced at one time and they are solid.  I don’t know if it runs - the motor does turn over.  The car has some rust, but I would say it is 90% rust free. Year: 1958	I have two 1958 edsels for sale: Ranger four door hardtop with lots of extra parts.  The body is in good shape, very little body work, minor rust and needs paint and few chrome pieces must be put on and doors need realignment.  All glass is not broken or cracked.  Needs upholstery work in interior and also needs tires.  The car was just started and runs, and was driven in 1990, but parked in storage since then. The extra parts are an entire car that was cut up and parts removed. 1958 Pacer two door hardtop needs more work and has lots of broken glass, both doors and windshield (have new windshield in extra parts).  It has some chrome parts missing and needs work body.  It is straight, doors need to be realigned.  Needs rear seat and upholstery.  Car is very restorable.  Engine needs work but not frozen. Year: 1959	I am helping my father to post his Edsel for sale. It is all original, some extra parts, original mile in the 60,000’s, w/v8 engine.  There is no or minimum rust.  It runs like a charm.  Best I know it stops, starts and creates a road distraction.  Last registered probably about four or five years ago?.  The tires are new, wide white walls.  Little or no pitted chrome.  The engine is clean.  The vehicle has always been stored covered in a garage. Year: 1958	I had planned to restore the car back in '76 and I was driving it to and from school at that time.  It has been sitting in a machine shed until today.  I pulled it out to tear down the shed. All glass except the driver's side back glass is good.  I was unable to get the hood open to take a picture but I know it has the original motor in it, I installed a new 850 Holley on it in 1976.  All exterior trim pieces are there.  Some rust on rocker panels and front clip around lights.  Hood, trunk deck and both doors are in good shape. Automatic on the tree, interior is trashed, floor pan has some holes rusted through.  This car was owned previously by my parents so it has been around here a long time.  I am in the process of cleaning up the place and want to get rid of the car, hate to see it go to the crusher but I can not keep it around. I am asking $2000 but will take the best offer in the next 30 days. Year: 1959	The car needs some restoration work to be roadworthy again.  The car is solid without any rust-thru areas.  It has the 332 V-8 and two speed automatic transmission.  It is Snow White with President Red two-tone paint (the top is red along with the inside areas of the side body trim).  The interior is black vinyl and is in good condition with no rips or tears.  The back glass was damaged and included is a replacement glass.  The body is straight with no damage.  All trim is present.  The title is clear. Year: 1959	Runs very good, and quiet.  Good interior, good seats.  No missing parts.  Chrome is great.  All original.  It has been stored inside for over 25 years. There are small rust stains on the left wheel well, and it needs new brake shoes. "Express V-8" engine, automatic transmission, power steering and brakes.  Brown and white in color.  The paint is average. Overall a nice looking, good running Edsel that needs very little.
