1958 Canadian Edsel Data Plate


1958 Edsels that were assembled in Canada come equipped with a "Ford of Canada" data plate, 3-3/4 inches wide by 1-1/2 inches high.
Unlike its American-built counterpart, Canadian dataplates do not include details on engine, transmission, axle or assembly date codes.  Stamped on the plate are serial number, model, trim and paint codes, and printed directions on finding the engine number.
All Canadian-built Edsels were assembed in the Oakville, Ontario plant.
