The data plate is missing from the inside of the door. I did find another
plate on the firewall that was stamped like this:
I'm assuming that this was another serial number location, but not sure. I
saved this car from a car crusher and have been parting it out, but it's to the
point now that it's a lawn ornament. 701277 57A
This Edsel was sitting in Sparby's Junkyard in Arkdale, Wisconsin since the
1960s. The yard was liquidated in 1998 except for this car. It has no
rear axle, broken windows, but still has the engine and transmission.
