This nice original car had not been used regularly for quite some time, probably at least five years, when puchased in late 2002.  From November 2002 through early January 2003, the following work was done in order for it to be suitable for everyday use:
  New tires, new exhaust pipe (behind crossover pipe), muffler, and tailpipe
  Starter and generator rebuilds and electrical system service to spec.
  Tune-up, carburetor kit installed, new belt and hoses
  Cooling and brake systems serviced
  Chassis and shifter linkage lubricated
  Back-up lights repaired.

Previous owner passed away in early 2002, and the present owner purchased the vehicle in October 2002 after learning of its availability on Edsel.com.

The car was originally sold new at Barstow Motors in Potsdam, New York (according to a notation in the August 1995 Edseletter - the International Edsel Club's newsletter).  Barstow is still in business as a Chevy/Buick/GMC dealership.
