This was my great uncle's Edsel. It's been stored since 1970, I
thought that it was stored in '82, but I was mistaken. Heck, I was 8 years old
in '82, so that's the earliest I can remember the car in my grandma's barn. I
found out it was stored in 1970 when I went to get the data plate info, there
was a Motor Age magazine under the front seat with writing in pencil that
said, "stored Edsel in 4-5-70". I talked to my grandma more and she said that
was around the time he (great uncle) bought a Ranchero. My father couldn't
even remember when it was put in the barn so this was a surprise to him
also. A couple of years ago my great uncle signed the title over to my father
and we just started getting the itch to drag the old beast out. Hopefully the
resto will start in '02. Wish us luck!!
