I bought this car on ebay.  The seller was a Richard Smith, and he stated he also purchased it on ebay a couple years earlier for more than $15,000 from a guy in Alberta, Canada.

I'd be interested in finding as much history on this car as possible.

Notes:
Currently painted Ember Red with Snow White, this 1958 Edsel Pacer convertible is in overall solid and well working condition.  It runs great on a rebuilt engine and is free from smoking and rattle.  The carburetor is a new Holley 4bbl correct for the vehicle.
The automatic transmission shifts smooth and true.  The frame is solid and has no rust rot.  The floor pans were replaced professionally providing a solid underbody.  The body is in good shape with only minor misalignment of doors not closing flush and hood latch has small bend.
The chrome is solid and needs only a little polish.  Suspension systems hold well and provide a soft ride.  The brakes have been rebuilt and operate great.  The wheels and tires are in great condition and have plenty of tread wear left.
The interior has new seat coverings and carpet, but needs kick panels.  The wiring harness is new and all electrical systems work well, but the tachometer is currently disconnected.  The owner states that the convertible top is not torn or ripped, but needs to be taken off the frame and reinstalled for better and smoother operation.  The paint is fair condition, but is free from dents or waving.  This vehicle only needs a few cosmetic upgrades to make for a true showpiece.  It makes for a great daily driver and is reliable as it is.
