Notes:
This is a totally original car, other than tires and common maintenance parts, still owned by the original owner.  The entire life of this car has been documented.  Car has 37,255 original miles and is garage kept.  Car was daily driver until owner was physically unable to drive in 1997.  Owner has original 1960 Edsel Owner Allowance Certificate good for $300 towards purchase of another Ford vehicle.  Car and owner were registered in the Edsel Owners Club in early 1970s.  Owner also has all original correspondence from dealer (Basin Motors Lincoln-Mercury, Klamath Falls, Oregon) and Ford Motor Company in their attempts to buy car back or trade a new 1960 Mercury even up.  All other paperwork and newspaper articles about car are in owner's possession.  Car has slight wear and tear on exterior (slight dent rear bumper, small dent rr quarter and small dent in fender top chrome rf fender).  Interior is in excellent condition.

Only three 1960 Edsels were delivered in Oregon, one to Portland, one to Roseburg, & this one to Basin Motors.  It was put on display in their showroom Oct 15, 1959.  At that time I was in the market for a new car, so I went and looked at it and was very much impressed with it.  The dealer didn't want to sell it to me until they got their shipment in and introduced them, as it was the only one they had, and showroom models had all been delivered to the dealers.  So I went and looked at other makes of the new '60's cars, but kept coming back to it, and finally on Oct 19, 1959 he sold it to me, as he had already tentatively sold thirteen, from the (display) model, and were expecting their shipment soon, and at that time I had a business nearby where it would be parked and could be seen.

This car and its history are also for sale.
