361cid E-400 V8, 3-speed column automatic transmission,

It may have been a Sunset Coral car at one time, but the paint on it was kind of like
a grayish-pumpkin color now. It was not very pretty at all. The dashboard was
painted the same color as the exterior.
The seats were original but badly deteriorated, with most of the padding coming out,
etc. The top was down, probably for good reason.
All of this information was in plain view. Since I did not actually obtain the
owner's consent, I did not touch the car in any way. And this car was drawing a
small crowd on its own.

Notes:
Bud Goodman reports:
The vehicle appears to be original except for the paint job. It is complete
and runs and drives, but really needs a complete restoration to be presentable. The
last registration was 1990. There was no rust visible anywhere. There were two
old license plate frames from a Southern California Lincoln-Mercury dealer in the rear
footwell. There were Citation-type inserts in the (White) scallops, which the owner
claims were factory installed. I have heard about some Pacers having these,
especially Canadian models, but this is the first one I've seen. The steering wheel
was not white.
