The First Line ("Serial Number") contains codes to identify the engine, model year, place of manufacture, body style and consecutive unit number.  There are asterisks before and after the number to assure that no other numbers were added to the serial number.
The Second Line ("Style/Body Spec") identifies the body style, number of doors, colors, interior trim, date of manufacture and other drivetrain options.
