1958 Canadian Edsel Data Plate


Unlike its American-built counterpart, Canadian dataplates do not include details on engine, transmission, axle or assembly date codes.  The first line ("Serial Number") contains codes to identify series style, body type and unit number.  The second line("Model/Trim/Paint") identifies the model, interior trim, and paint combination.
All Canadian-built Edsels were assembed in the Oakville, Ontario plant.
