Tom Pirrung sent this image of a paper he found in the glove box of his new '58 Corsair.  It's a hand-written build sheet. (Mopar fans call these broadcast sheets.)  It tells you quite a bit about the car---body style, colors, options, serial number, etc.  It's a four-door hardtop built in Somerville, Massachusetts, serial number 3040.  It suggests that Edsels didn't have proper build sheets, at least in the Somerville plant.  Mike Brogan found the equivalent of a build sheet written in grease pencil on the underside of the package tray in a '58 Ranger he was parting out, probably a Louisville car.
